Hello everyone! My name is Shelby and I’m a blogger, photographer, writer, and lover of all things natural! I’m 18 years old, and originally from San Diego, California, but now I live in Washington DC. I love skincare because I think it is an essential part of taking care of yourself. I love using natural ingredients to maintain glowing and healthy skin, it’s fun and totally necessary! When I’m not studying for classes, I’m listening to music on SoundCloud and playing with new hairstyles. I really love listening to jazz instrumentals of popular songs (Saxtribution has great covers). In my spare time I like to turn up my music, and dance around in my room! I created this natural and homemade salt scrub to help your skin transition from winter – into moisturized and ready for spring. Winter has a natural tendency to strip our skin of natural oils and color and leave it feeling dull and lifeless. In addition to moisturizing, it’s important to regularly exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and brighten up your face. Why not do both at once? Check out this easy spring scrub and allow your skin shine brighter than the sun!!
Time It Takes: 20 minutes
Things You’ll Need:
Ground sea salt
How You Make It: Step 1: First, measure about a half tablespoon of both jojoba oil and coconut oil. Pour into either a bowl or mason jar.
Step 2: Add a tablespoon of matcha powder.
Step 3: Add salt. Amount varies depending on skin sensitivity; the more salt you add, the more abrasive the scrub may feel on skin. Continue adding salt to mixture until consistency is thick.
Step 4: Continue adding salt to mixture until consistency is thick and evenly blended.
Step 5: Wet face and apply directly to skin. Rub in slow, circular motions to avoid irritation and exfoliate as best as possible.
